    KimberMark is the literary and production banner of screenwriter and producer Justin Kohlas. Named after his mother Kim and his late father Mark, Justin founded KimberMark in 2024 as a full service independent production company specializing in development, production, and IP adaptations. KimberMark has since finished its first film Hide which will premiere on the festival circuit in 2025, as well as securing the TV and Film rights to several bestselling novels that include The Overnight Guest by Heather Gudenkauf, The Moonlight Child by Karen McQuestion, The Last Place You Look by Kristen Lepionka, and The Ledge: An Adventure Story of Friendship and Survival on Mount Rainier by Jim Davidson and Kevin Vaughan.

    Justin’s experience in the industry is wide ranging. On the writing front, he was most recently the staff writer for the CBS Television Studios drama, NCIS: Los Angeles, where he oversaw every aspect of the process from story pitch, to script, to production, to network delivery. His pilot King Street became the highest rated pilot hosted on The Black List in 2018, while his other pilot, Horizon, was chosen by Valparaiso Pictures to be developed for their inaugural writer's lab "Writer's Out of Office." He was also hired to adapt the book The American Dream: HisStory in the Making by David Lee Windecher for Prominent Productions. His writing has been placed in numerous writing competitions and fellowships all over the country including Final Draft Big BreakAtlanta Film FestivalBluecatAustin Film Festival, and Fresh Voices.

    On the production side, he has worked on both feature films and television shows such as It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Cake starring Jennifer Aniston, How To Get Away With Murder, Shameless, and Comedy Bang! Bang! His other industry experience includes being an executive assistant to Oscar-nominated producer Andrew Sugerman and David Lynch's on-set assistant for Twin Peaks. In addition he has produced over a dozen music videos, features, and short films.
